Beauty // Turquoise Eyeliner
Would you ever wear turquoise eye liner? I've always struggled with the idea of any sort of shade of blue on my eyelids. Maybe because it's so unnatural. At any rate, I thought I would give it a go by using this aqua shade of eyeshadow as eyeliner. I feel like the look is totally fun and summery and might be worth trying for a party or something. Hopefully this inspires you to try something new this weekend!
What do you think? Would you try turquoise or aqua on your eyes?
Here's what I did:
- For my complexion I just went with a tinted moisturizer and attempted to cover up the bags under my eyes and blemishes with concealer ( to be fair, I had just woken up from a nap when we shot this.)
- For blush I went with a light pink and just brushed it on the apples of my cheeks.
- For my eyes I used a very neutral taupe color without any sparkle on the surface of my lids. Then I took an angled brush and really covered it with the turquoise eyeshadow and then brushed it on the top lid in sort of "cat eye" type way. I did this about 3 times to really get a true color. Obviously, you could just use turquoise eyeliner just as easily. I brushed on some mascara and that's it!
- For the lips, I used a pale pink gloss. Tried to keep it a bit simple :)
