DIY // Tissue Paper Pom-Poms
Pretty much any person who has been involved with a DIY wedding or with throwing any kind of shower, has made (or attempted) these tissue paper pom-poms. They are relatively easy and they are darn cute. Plus, you can make them in practically any color so they match any party. Give it a try.
Supplies needed:
- Tissue paper (color of choice)
- scissors
- wire
- string for hanging them
1. Take 8 sheets of tissue paper and neatly stack them on top of each other. You can use large sheets to make larger poms. If you want smaller pom-poms, cut the sheets in half like I did here.
2. Once you have your paper stacked, begin folding them like an accordion, creasing well with each fold.
3. Now that you have your folds, fold it completely in half to find the center. At the center cut out two half moon shapes.
4. Once you half your half-moons cut out, cut the tips off in either a triangle and rounded way.
5. Take a piece of wire that's about 6" long and wrap it and tie it around the spot where the half-moons have been cut out.
6. Now that you have the paper folded and wired together, start pulling the sheets apart and fluff them to make the pom. If you are going to hang them, you can attach string to the wire.
