I first tried Ginger Beer while I was in Kenya for a humanitarian aide trip with

Hydrating Humanity

. A popular soda to drink was Stoney Tangawizi. It was so strong that the first couple times I tried it I just couldn't enjoy it. But after a few days, I loved it. I became so accustomed to the taste that I would crave it. Well, I started thinking how yummy a cocktail would be with a good ginger beer and found

recipe. Give it a shot! Also, another variation that is nice is substituting Johnny Walker Red Label instead of the rum. - Christina

The Goods:

  • 2 ounces of Gosling's Black Seal Rum
  • 3 ounces of Ginger Beer (we used Barritt's but there are better ones out there)
  • Cut up lime wedge for garnish
  • Mint - this we added

Directions:

1. Fill your highball glass with ice

2. Build your ingredients within the glass

3. Garnish with lime wedge and mint
