A Waffle Breakfast
One of my favorites meals to cook and eat is breakfast. Mornings are the best time of day, in my opinion, and I love to share that time with people. Even while shooting this post we all saw so many beautiful things that morning. The way the sunlight looked peeking through the lace curtains, all the ingredients laid out on this slab of marble, and freshly cooked waffles. There are small, valuable, moments in everyday life and that is the inspiration behind this post. And, of course, a recipe for cinnamon and sugar waffles as well.

The Goods:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar, plus 2 more for the cinnamon-sugar mix
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 4 tablespoons butter, unsalted
- 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
Directions:
- Preheat your waffle iron to not quite the hottest setting ( I set mine to a 4)
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk all of the ingredients together, starting with the dry ingredients and working in the wet.
- Gently whisk in the melted butter. Mix the cinnamon with 2 tbls of sugar.
- Pour about 1/4 cup of the batter onto the waffle iron and sprinkle with the cinnamon and sugar mixture and cook for about 4 minutes or until golden and crisp ( my waffle iron gave me a green light when the waffle was ready to go).
- Top with pure maple syrup, berries, and freshly whipped cream.
